The Scheduler provides a quality service to the patient, the physician, his/her office/clinic staff, and to all departments. He/She schedules all services offered by that department including obtainment of appropriate medical necessity documentation - diagnosis, sign, symptoms, and notifying outpatient coder for assistance if needed. Performs clerical duties of the unit under the direction of the chief therapist and or director.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
High School graduate or equivalent.
One-year experience in a hospital and previous clerical experience preferred. Medical terminology desired.
