Award-winning public relations team at a purpose-driven state agency seeks a new member for public and media relations. Responsible for internal and external communications. Serves as agency spokesperson and media liaison.
Comprehensive experience writing, planning and executing strategic internal and external communications plans. Considerable knowledge of public relations, media relations, social media, video, marketing concepts, event planning, promotions, and coordination and evaluation of communications activities.
Considerable PC skills using along with a demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a persuasive and tactical manner. Knowledge and usage of AP style.
Demonstrated ability to plan and develop goals, objectives and operating guidelines. Ability to build and position the agency’s image through the promotion of services and packaging and distribution of information. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and data for decision-making; make formal presentations.
Ability to handle diverse and complex situations; interact with diverse constituencies including executive level decision-makers. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, manage multiple assignments, organize work, and coordinate activities across a diverse group of people and special interests.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in mass communications, public relations or related field. Media experience a plus.
